Though I've always favored "classic" rock-n-roll, this was the era of my youth - and I'll confess: these guys were my favorite "big hair" band. It makes me laugh to see this now, but it was a lot of fun at the time (we laughed about it a lot then too ;)

1. the cashier at Bob & Irv's (our local grocery) asked to feel my fuzzy shirt because it looked so warm & soft -
she's right: getting to wear it is one of my favorite things about this time of year...

3. rediscovering my corn husk doll collection - mostly made by my grandmother, with a few that I made under her tutelage (mine have no faces because I always feared my features wouldn't look as sweet as hers)



4. a new recipe for pumpkin-chocolate chip bread - it's a keeper!
