In honor of today's last shuttle launch -

(couldn't find any YouTubes yet of the amazing imagery from the NASA camera showing the live "view out the rear window" of our glowing blue planet in the distance as the shuttle gained speed - can't imagine what it feels like for the astronauts! - total envy - awesome!) (a little bit of a sad day too... sucks when we can't afford science, eh?)

the Blackberry Sparkle

a new cocktail concoction to commemorate this time of year -

We're calling it the Blackberry Sparkle because Sparkle also happens to be one of Sparky's nicknames (awwwww...)

1 part blackberry liqueur (we just happened to have some, home made summer 2010 yum)
1 part yer favorite vodka
2 parts tonic water for some refreshing fazizzle
serve over ice in a purple glass, and plunk in a few fresh blackberries!
