I love these big gnarly old willow tree trunks - always a tree-hugging moment

across the street from our mailbox (the neighbor's yard):

Spotted the turkeys again, this time while driving past our neighbors' yard. They quickly scurried away when I slowed down the car.

See that short dark nub towards the left? That's where our mailbox used to live - Last snowfall the snowplows knocked it over pretty hard; this snowfall they killed it. :(
